SUMMARY Out of 50 samples were taken from each carcasses of camel, cattle, sheep and goat from Kalyobia abattoirs, the minimum number/cm² of Escherichia coli strain isolated from the carcasses surfaces were 5.1 X10², 3.7 X10², 2.3 X10², and 3.5 X10²while the maximum numbers were 3.5 X 105, 4.5 X104, 1.3 X104, and 5.1 X104, With means of 3.2 X104, 6.1 X10³, 4.3 X10³, and 9.7 X10³, respectively.
