Abstract

The boundary layer flow of non-Newtonian fluids over a stretching surface has gained tremendous interest because of numerous applications in many industries such as polymer melt , food engineering, petroleum production, power engineering and polymer solutions used in the plastic processing industries. Very recently, Megahed [1] presented numerical study for the effect of thermal radiation on laminar boundary layer flow and heat transfer of a non-Newtonian power-law fluid over a non-linearly stretching vertical surface with heat flux and thermal radiation using the fourth order Runge–Kutta method with the shooting technique. The above paper is a special case from the published paper by Samad and Hossain [2] . In both papers there is a fundamental error :
