Abstract
The boundary layer flow of non-Newtonian fluids over a stretching surface has
gained tremendous interest because of numerous applications in many
industries such as polymer melt , food engineering, petroleum production,
power engineering and polymer solutions used in the plastic processing
industries.
Very recently, Megahed [1] presented numerical study for the effect of thermal
radiation on laminar boundary layer flow and heat transfer of a non-Newtonian
power-law fluid over a non-linearly stretching vertical surface with heat flux
and thermal radiation using the fourth order Runge–Kutta method with the
shooting technique. The above paper is a special case from the published paper
by Samad and Hossain [2] . In both papers there is a fundamental error :
