Abstract

In this paper the effect of the load phase angle and the triggering angle on the power components of the supply of a 3-phase, fully-controlled rectifier bridge feeding a static inductive load is investigated. The power factor of the AC supply is obtained for several loading conditions, and the maximum" power factor, corresponding to the full elimination of the reactive power component of the AC side, is investigated.
