Abstract
In this paper, a new structure of the six-port reflectometer is presented by using
two microstrip three-section couplers. The six-port reflectometer was analyzed,
simulated and then realized on teflon substrate at the operating frquency 3.5GHz.
The six-port reflectometer was calibrated and then used to measure different
unknown complex impedances. The measured results was found to be in good
agreement with that obtained using the vector network analyzer with an error not
exceeding 4% in magnitude and 4 in phase especially in the frequency range (2.5
up to 4.5 GHZ). This bandwidth is larger as compared to the six-port
reflectometer realized by using two single-section couplers
