Abstract
In this paper an equivalent circuit for small solid-rotor induction motors is developed in which the effect of
the time harmonics of the supply are taken into consideration when the supply is non-sinusoidal. This circuit
Can be used to obtain directly the characteristics of the motor, such as torque speed, current speed etc.,
when the motor is fed from a non-sinusoidal supply, in the same way as the characteristics of the cage motor
are obtained.
