Abstract
In this paper an equivalent circuit of the Induction motor fed
from a current-source inverter, and controlled such that the rotor flux linkage remains constant, i.e with field orientation control, is derived.
This equivalent circuit is used to determine all the variable quantities of the motor and the inverter, after relationships between the field-coordinates variables and that of the equivalent circuit has been established. Comparisons between the results obtained from the proposed equivalent circuit and experimental results, under field orientation control, showed close agreement.
