In this paper full analysis of the performance of a three-phase fully-controlled bridge rectifier feeding static active loads is presented. The modes of operation for this system are classified and conditions for operation in these modes are derived . Full performance analysis is given, and the effect of the value of the emf source in the load on the different performance characteristics is shown. The performance characteristics are obtained based on analytical expressions derived for the different modes of operation of the bridge .
