Abstract
Purpose:
To evaluate the safety and efficacy of intracorneal ring (Intacs) in treatment of mild and moderate cases of keratoconus.
Subjects and methods:
20 eyes of 18 patients with mild and moderate keratoconus were treated with Intacs. Uncorrected visual acuity (UCVA), best corrected visual acuity (BCVA) manifest refraction including sphere and cylinder, spherical equivalent, minimum K reading (K1) and maximum K reading (K2) were measured preoperatively and postoperatively at 1,3,6,12 months and at 2 years.
