Abstract
Tinidazole (Fasigen) was found effective in treating Giardia lamblia infection in white rats and diminishing the pathological changes to the minimum when taken one week after infection.But when taken on the same day of infection or 2 weeks later, the results were doubtful.The drug itself caused certain pathological changes in the liver 3 weeks after intake which persisted for about 6 weeks in rats.
