Abstract
Urinary schistosomiasis acts as a predisposing factor to urinary tract infection. The incidence of infection was higher in patients with choronic infection .Females showed higher incidence of urinarty tract infections than males.The most predominant organism isolated was E coli .Nalidixic acid was found to be the most effective drug in urinary tract infection in bilharziasis
