ABSTRACT
*~
Two groups of children, (each consisted of 100 primary school pupils), one from an urban area and the other from a rural area were studied. They were chosen randomly. For each pupil, clinical examination was done. In addition, stool, urine and blood samples were examined. Scholar achievement was estimated through finding out the days of absence and the results of 3 monthly certificates. Parasitic infection was found to be higher in rural than urban area, with subsequent reduc¬tion of the scholar achievement of the former.
