Abstract

Preserving data privacy is among the key challenges that still hamper answering business data integration needs in many sectors, including healthcare, e-commerce, and e-government. This paper aims to investigate the current issues and different privacy preservation approaches in the context of service oriented architecture (SOA) and cloud environments. We try to articulate and categorize the relevant work that has been done and identify important features that have led to improved privacy in these contexts. An understanding of the research issues associated with these areas may enable better development of these systems and reflect on open issues and future possibilities of exploration.
