Methods applied at present should be combined in a comprehensive Neural Management Maintenance System (NMMS) to have a benefit of the vast literature in maintenance of manufacturing systems. The NMMS would monitor the system and suggest the most appropriate maintenance actions. This work presents a NMMS applicable to manufacturing systems and it considers maintenance management goals including safety and environmental issues. The scheme has been designed, simulated, and then applied to a real system. Application of the NMMS on a case study in a florescent lamps factory is in progress. Simulation and analysis of the available historical data should help the management to find the root of these dominant faults and find the suitable solutions.
