Abstract

The present study aimed to know the nature of the relationship between narcissism dimensions (normal, pathological "overt - covert") with university students and self-esteem, and made tools of the study of scale narcissism (prepared by the researcher) and the measure of self-esteem Setup (Hudson Hudson 1994, Translated By: Majdi ElDesoki, 2004), has been the use of correlation coefficient Pearson in order to know the nature of the relationship between narcissism dimensions (normal, pathological "overt - covert") self-esteem, a sample of 200 students from the Faculties of Education and Physical Education, Benha University, The results of the study indicate there is a positive correlation of statistical significance between the scores of students with narcissism normal and grades on a scale self-esteem, and the presence of a positive correlation of statistical significance between the scores of students with a overt narcissism and grades on a scale self-esteem, and the presence of a negative correlation with statistical significance between the scores of students with covert narcissism and grades on a scale self-esteem.
