Abstract

This work involves computer-based voice recognition digital techniques to generate a voice archiving system. In that respect two computer programs routine were made use of the first routine resides in using available commercial computer packages based on the adoption of both the probability analysis of voice elements on one hand and the artificial neural network based on the fast Fourier transform on the other hand. A sample set of various types of prerecorded and properly archived audio material was installed on the computer storage media and there after the developed technique mentioned above was loaded and tested. Results obtained have confirmed an effective and reliable outcome to accessing the appropriate audio file from the installed audio library thus confirming the validity of the method for a developed audio archiving system. While the second routine comprises the development of a combination of visual basic and artificial neural network software. This procedure was used successfully for accessing selected files out of an audio/video library.
