A group of twelve male’s children with Autism spectrum disorder and hyperactively disorder were recruited to receive a program of reinforcement. The current study investigated the impact of reinforcement on reducing hyperactivity in children with autism. Participants of the experimental group submitted to a technique of a reinforcement learning task of stimulus – response associations. The hyperactivity symptoms were an important target for intervention. Task duration required rewarding only the correct responses of the participants which continued over the sessions. Findings showed that rewards significantly improved responses in experimental group. Statistical significant differences on hyperactivity were found between two groups denoting that the program was effective in reducing hyperactivity responses among the experimental group. Results reported significant statistical differences on hyperactivity, pre-posttest of the experimental group, with a moderate evidence of significant improvement on attention dimension. Findings seem well worth further examination with learning techniques in other samples of autistic and hyperactivity children. The results from recent study showed that the intervention of the mechanism of reinforcement as a behavioral treatment for reducing the motor hyperactivity among autistic children improved performance when rewards were delivered.
