Abstract

This study aimed to assess life style among young female through identifying of their awareness about elements and factors affecting their health life style, and assess their practices which conducive to better future reproductive health. A descriptive study utilized in the current study. By systematic random sampling technique, young females students were selected, and the study involved 350 students enrolled in 3rd years of general and technical secondary schools in Benha City. Questionnaire sheet divided into three parts, 1st part to assess Socio-demographic characteristics of young females, while 2nd part used to assess of young females' awareness about elements and factors that affecting their health life style, and 3rd part to assess of young females awareness about reproductive health and its elements. The main results showed that most of studied sample were not aware of elements and factors that affecting their health life style as nutrition patterns, physical exercises, rest and sleep, and leisure time, stress management ,and personal and menstrual hygiene. Also the majority of young females are having unsatisfactory awareness about healthy life style and acting healthy practices which conducive to better future reproductive health. The study recommended that multi-sectors must coordinate their efforts to make effective educational programs in all community setting to raising young female's awareness about reproductive and sexual health, partially within the school health program.
