Abstract
This study was designed to assess the relation between body mass index (BMI) and age, sex and parity of non-selected population sample of adults receding in six communities in Kalyobia and Dakahlia Governates so as to determine the prevalence of obesity in these governates and to specify age-, sex- and parity-adjusted prevalence of obesity in such sample. A total of 400 subjects (223 men and. 177 women) with a mean age of 36.42x8.77 years; range: 22-58 years were recruited- in the study.
