Abstract

Two field experiments were carried out during the two successive late summer seasons of 2017and 2018 in private sector farm at Digwa Village, Benha, El-Qalubia Governorate, to investigate the effect of foliar spray of naphthalene acetic acid (NAA), ascorbic acid(AS), calcium boron and seaweed extract(SWE) as well as their interaction on growth, Chemical composition, fruit yield and its quality of tomato plants (Solanum lycopersicum Mill ) cv. Hybrid Thoeria 084 and Super strain B. This experiment included 18 treatments resulted from the combination between two hybrids (Hybrid Thoeria 084 and Super strain B) and nine spray treatments as follows, Naphthalene acetic acid (NAA) at 100 and 200ppm/l, Ascorbic acid at 500 and 1000ppm/l, Calcium Boron at 250 and 500ppm/l and Seaweed extract at 2 and 4g/l in addition to the control treatment (spray with tap water). Obtained results showed that the highest values in all measured vegetative growth, Chemical composition, fruit yield and its quality were recorded as a result of foliar spraying tomato plants of hybrid. Thoeria 0.84 NAA at 200ppm, three times during the growing season starting after 15 days from transplanting data and every (10) days by intervals.
