Abstract

Recently, the study of the flow and heat transfer of non-Newtonian fluids in thin liquid film over a stretching sheet has considerable attention due to its important in many industrial application. The authors [1] numerically studied the problem of Powell-Eyring fluid film past a stretching sheet using Chebyshev finite difference method. There are many fundamental errors: 1. The transformed momentum equation ( Eq.(5)) is wrong . 2. From the definition of the wall shear stress of the Powell-Eyring fluid , it is easy to see that the local skin- friction coefficient given in ref. [ is wrong.
