y using the solutions of an auxiliary ordinary differential equation, a direct algebraic method is described to construct the solitary wave solution of the Kawahara equation. It is well known that different types of exact solutions of the given auxiliary equation produce new types of exact travelling wave solutions to nonlinear equations. In this paper, many new exact travelling wave solutions, such as rational solutions, triangular function solutions, soliton solutions, are obtained. Also, we compute the integrals of motion of the Kawahara equation.
