Abstract
Motivated by global climate change, including global warming and greenhouse gas emissions, architects and designers undertook a duty to look for more efficient, sustainable building systems. Among the modern tools used to tackle the building functionality and climate-related problems is biomimicry. Biomimicry aims to enhance self-sustainability, widen ecological building elements, and support efficiency of building behavior. It depends on nature mimicking the life principles of hidden nature order and biological models that are proved to overcome similar challenges in real life; thus, making buildings behave in the same way to achieve their functional targets. The paper discusses the strategies of embodiment of biomimicry into building behavior elements to support building behavior efficiency. The research concluded bio mimic design method and strategies to support building behavior.
