Abstract
Twenty cows with left or right displaced abomasum associated with primary rumenal impaction with forgein bodeis (plastic in particular) and/or traumatic reticuloperitonitis (TRP) were studied. These cases were left displaced abomasum (LDA) and rumenal foreign bodies (RFB) (10 cases; 50%), LDA and both of reticular and rumenal foreign bodies (6 cases,30%), LDA and TRP (2 cases, 10%), and right displaced abomasum (RDA) and TRP (2 cases; 10%). Surgical interferences by using left flank approach or a modified bilateral flank approach were performed and studied. Histopathological changes of the rumen were mentioned and interpreted.
