Abstract

The paper presents the development of a microcomputer based multi-variable linear controller for the current source inverter fed auto-synchronous motor drive. The power factor and speed feedback controllers ensure fast dynamics, disturbance rejection and robustness beside providing good energy/power utilization. keywords: self-synchronous motor, load commutation, optimal control, power factor control, microcomputer implementation.
