Abstract

In this paper, we present technique combined between Homotopy analysis method and the Laplace transform to obtain the series solution of a certain type of third order nonlinear boundary value problem with one boundary condition at infinity. The obtained analytic series solution from this technique is combined with the Padé approximation techniques to handle the boundary condition at infinity. We this technique applied to the boundary value problem resulting from the magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) viscous flow due to a shrinking sheet, this technique success to obtain the two branches of solutions for important parameter. Comparison of the present solution is made with the existing solution and excellent agreement is noted.
