Abstract
In this paper, a new modification of the homotopy analysis method is proposed for solving a
special kind of nonlinear differential equations. This modification improves the convergence
of the series solution, eliminates the unneeded terms and reduces time consuming in the
homotopy analysis method (HAM). Boussinesq type equations are used as test problems to
show the simplicity and effectiveness of the method.
