Abstract
Hydromagnetic flow and heat transfer of an incompressible electrically
conducting micro-polar fluid past a semi-infinite stretching non-isothermal porous plate
embedded in porous medium in the presence of heat generation are investigated. The resulting
non-linear ordinary differential equations are solved numerically by a shooting method. The
effects of the magnetic parameter (M ) , the permeability parameter (R) , the wall suction
parameter ( ) w f and the heat generation parameter (a ) on the velocity , the micro-rotation
velocity and the temperature are shown graphically and thereafter are discussed. The
corresponding local wall shear stress, local wall couple stress and local Nusselt number are
shown in tabular form.
