Abstract
A list of Acaridiae species (Acari) collected in Qualubia and .Kafer El-Sheikh Governorate from June 1985 to June 1993 is given. Mite species were extracted from soil planted with different hosts, farmyard manure, stored products, insects and birds & mammals nests. Out of atotal of 41 species, 16 proved to be new to the fauna of Egypt and 11 species new for science.
