Generally. maize crop was more preferred for Raitus rattus and Rattus norvegi cus, whereas. Mus rnuscvlus preferred wheat than maize. Spring season was the most suitable for the field rodents followed by autumn, winter and summer seasons. For rodent damage to winter crops the rodents attacked tomatoes lower than wheat. meanwhile, rat damage for horse bean was less than each of wheat and tomatoes. The summer crops (1996) could be arranged in descending order according to their mean of the damage percentages as follows: Maize (1.128)> tomato (0.682)> soyabean (0 62)
