Abstract
A list of Acaridiae Latrelle, 1902 species described and illustrated on
the basis of material collected from different habitats (stored products, birds and
mammals’ nests, insects, soil, plants. fruits, bulbs, animal excremiits and sheds.

Sixteen genera and forty species proved Lo be new for Egyptian fauna
arid for science as well. The species belonging lo foui families were recorded.
These families are: Histiostoniatidae. Glycyphagidae, Acaridae and
