Abstract
The effects of sowing dale. N and P fertilization levels on some technological properties of Giza 80 cotton cultivar were studied in I 988 and 1989 seasons at Sids Agricultural Rescarch Station. Bani-Sueif Governorate. The results revealed that lint percentage, seed index and fiber length increased b early sowing. whereas fiber strength and fiber fineness were insignificantly affected Lw sowing date. Increasing N lcc1s signhlىcaiuth affected seed index and lint percentage. while fiber length. Strength and fineness ‘ere not affected by N levels. P fcrtili,,ation did not affect the studied technological trails, Sowing date X N level had a significant effect on seed index and lint percentage. Also, the second order intetaction was significant on seed index in 1989 on!. Sowing cotton plants on April with 90 kg N and 30 kg P205/fed. produced the highest seed index.
