Abstract
The economic role of the state in the light of the modern economies changes
With the application on Egyptian case .

This study aimed to show the economic role of the state in the economic theory, it showed the thought of minimalist state and the thought of highly centralized state and market friendly intervention, it showed the role of the state in the growth approach.
The study analyzes the state's Role in the Light of new global economic developments.
It showed the causes of state intervention in the economic, and the regulatory and institutional role of the state. It showed the role of the Egyptian state within the time of 1952-2011.
