In this retrospective study for 627 psychiatric patients(421 females and 206 males) and 54 other patients (38 females and 16 males) reported history of sexual abuse during childhood. the results illustrated the demographic features of the abused victims, the offenders and the act of assaults, the result showed also a significant correlation between sexual abuse during childhood and disorders of adult personality and behaviour especially disorders associated with sexual development and orientation, borderline personality disorder. substance abuse and behavioural syndromes associated with psychological disturbance
