Abstract

The research aims to identify the postural imbalances of the spinal curves and its relation to the physiological status for primary stage students. The researcher used the descriptive method on a sample selected with a random sample method, which consisted of (1530) students. Research results have shown that primary stage students suffer from dramatically simple postural imbalances. 7.3% of the research sample have proper spine, however the percentages of simple postural imbalances varied between (3%: 9.3%), where the hyperkyphosis thoracic spine was the most widespread. The percentages of compound postural imbalances varied between (4.7%: 7.3%) where the hyperkyphosis thoracic with the spine inclination to the front is the most widespread. Students with the normal spinal curves exceed the students with simple and compound postural imbalances in the level of the physiological status in addition to the presence of inverse correlation between postural imbalances of the spinal curves and the physiological status of primary Stage students. The researcher recommended designing rehabilitation programs for the simple postural imbalances such as hyperkyphosis, as well as designing rehabilitation programs for the compound postural imbalances such as hyperkyphosis thoracic with the spine inclination to the front.
