الملخص
The integral method of moments is used to determine an external velocity distribution corresponding to a turbulent boundary layer of given characteristics. Optimal control techniques are applied to the minimization of a cost function defined in terms of observations of the difference between calculated and desired boundary layer parameters at the trailing edge of the profile (final observation). Numerical results have demonstrated the capability of an algorithm based on the technique to reproduce various experimental profiles starting from a given initial profile.
