Abstract
In this paper, the response of a rigid block foundation rested on a non-homogeneous soil of different values of dynamic properties to an eccentric periodic force is analyzed. The considered force acting on the foundation generates periodic moments due to eccentricity. The response of foundation under periodic force in the vertical direction and two periodic moments about the other axes with three degrees of freedom system, translation in the vertical direction and rotation about the other two axes is discussed.
