Abstract
Over last 30 years a large amount of research on photovoltaic and thermal hybrid (PVT) solar energy systems
has been carried out. The advantage of PVT solar energy systems is the increased efficiency of these systems.
Measured total efficiency of the PVT solar system gives values above 60%. This paper presents a review on PVT
systems. The different systems supplying electric and thermal energy and using concentrating or non-concentrating sun
light are considered. The advantages and disadvantages of each system are analyzed.
