Abstract

Laparoscopic retropubic simple prostatectomy is expected to achieve the merits of both open surgery and laparoscopic surgery, including perfect removal of the adenoma, short recovery time, and wide eyeshot,However, the patients have a more rapid return to normal activity with a shorter hospitalization and less morbidity and better cosmetic results compared with the open procedure. The operators’ overcoming the learning curve is a prerequisite for shortening the operation time and reducing the perioperative morbidities. The limitations of this study are the small number of cases and the short follow-up period. More cases , long-term data and further comparative studies are needed to clarify the usefulness of laparoscopic retropubic simple prostatectomy.we believe that laparoscopic retropubic simple prostatectomy may be a useful treatment option for patients with voluminous BPH, on the condition that the operators overcome the learning curve by gaining a lot of clinical experience. Finally, we recommend fixation of our laparoscopic team, More transmitted experience (as training courses, conferences, Papers, direct connection, etc), more advanced equipments and instruments and longer follow-up with larger groups of patients. So In the future, with the evolution of the technique, other parameters should probably improve and in this way contribute in making laparoscopic prostatic adenomectomy a more attractive solution.
