Abstract
Nanoparticle CexPrxMg1-2xAl2O4 system ceramic pigments were prepared from the mixture of aluminum, magnesium, cerium and praseodymium nitrates ignited with malonic acid dihydrazide as a fuel following by annealing at different calcinations temperatures. The chemical structure, phase formation and spectral characterization of pigments are characterized by different tools such as thermal analysis (TG-DTA), x-ray diffractions (XRD), transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and infrared spectroscopy (IR). The colors of inorganic pigments are determined by diffuse reflectance spectroscopy (DRS) using CIE-L*a*b* parameters method for color measurements.
