Abstract
Since many years, there have been many computer-based research works, aiming at developing analytical methods to handle evaluation problems using computers for the accuracy and speed. This paper aims at developing an analytical method using computer-aided techniques to guide the evaluation process of Architectural Graduation Projects in Egyptian Universities using Internet & Video Conference networks to avoid variations in jury results from faculty to another and as an educational tool in architectural criticism.
In this paper, the researcher has proposed “Interactive Video Conference” as a tool to evaluate All Graduation projects at one time. He is trying to use The Egyptian National Video Conference Network centers in evaluation process. He got the number of students and the number of jury members and he proposed the suitable Center, which cope with each faculty.
In the second part of the paper, he proposed some methods to save jury time by using computer-based jury scheduling. He suggests that he can use 30 jury groups at a time to Evaluate 30 criteria at the same time. This will save a lot of time. In this case it is possible to evaluate All Graduation projects in 3 days without oral discussion, or in 15 days with oral discussion.
