الملخص
Theoretical comparison of two control strategies for switchable damper suspension system is made. Also, theoretical model of the slow active system with a 3Hz bandwidth pneumatic actuator is developed and predicted results are compared with those of the passive system.

The two setting switchable damper, which depends on optimal control theory, is of considerable interest, because it gives greater improvements over the passive than the two setting switchable damper (Karnopp strategy). The hardware required for such dampers us currently available. The slow active system is shown to provide worthwhile improvements in ride performance compared with the other systems, but it is likely to require more elaborate and expensive hardware in practice
