Abstract
It is well known that the Hammerstein nonlinear integral
equations with degenerate kernel is equivalent to system of
nonlinear algebraic equations. The method of solving that sy~
tem is more easy than any method of solving nonlinear integral
equation with non-degenerate kernel. This paper deals with
approximate solutions of nonlinear integral equation of
Volterra type in the space Lp' The given equation is replaced
by a Hammerstein nonlinear integral equation with degenerate
kernel and taking the solution of it as an approxiaate solution
of the given equation.
