Abstract
study of the ozonation of phtalic acid and salicylic acids showed the °zonation to be an incomplete oxidation. A lot of non aromatic compounds result from the ozonation, such as tartric, glyoxilic and oxalic acids as well as glyoxal. From a mechanistic point of view, we found of reactivive hydroxyl radicals, as has already been observed for the decomposition of ozone.
