Abstract

Sclerotinia sclerotiorum isolates varied In their pathogenicity against beans or lettuce plants. Trichoderma spp. were most effective in reducing growth and sclerotlal formation of S. sclerotiorum compared with the effect of Gilocladium spp. or Chaetomium globosum. There was a positive relationship between incubation period and percent¬age reduction in growth or sclerotlal formation. T. harzianum or T. hamatum showed more antagonistic effect than Gliocladium spp. or C. globosum. T. harzianum parasitized sclerotia of S. sclerotiorum and destroyed it completely within 10 days under laboratory" conditions.
