Abstract
In Egypt, the ceratopogonid genus Forcipomyia Meigen 1818 is reviwed. It is represented by 8 species. One newly added record, F. pulcherrima Santos Albreu and one new species, F. marsafae are described. Both of these species belong to subgenus Lepidohelea. Identification keys, and new distribution records are also included. Key Words: Forcipomyia marsafae, F. pulcherrima, taxonomy, keys, distribution, biting midges.
