Abstract
A checklist of Ceratopogonidae (Diptera) in Egypt is provided, including author, date of publication, page number of original description, and the distribution of each species. New distributional data for 19 species from 9 localities are provided, in addition to one new record, Leptoconops sp. from Ras Mohamed (S. Sinai). At present, the total number of ceratopogonid species from Egypt stands at 75, in 10 genera, and 4 subfamilies. The previous list included 57 species in 10 genera, and 4 subfamilies. Numina dubia need more investigation. Key Words: Checklist, Egypt, Ceratopogonidae, biting midges, distribution.
