Abstract
objective:evaluation of potential benefits and necessity of the second transurethral resection of bladder tumour in patients with newly diagnosed superficical bladder tumour and its impact on subsequent strategy.
patients and methods: a second TURBT was performed 2-3 weeks after the initial resection on 31 patients with newly diagnosed superficical bladder tumour in the period of october 2005 to september 2007 the first TURBT was performed where all visible tumour timour bed and tumor margin were resected and sambeled separetly the second TURBT was performed by the same manner 2-3 weeks after the intial resection on 31 patient who were proved histologically to have superficial bladder tumors.tumors were staged according to TNM system f UICC, and graded according to new WHO/ISUP classification.
