Abstract

A model cell was used to determine the variation of pitting corrosion currents of electrolytically pure iron in a variety of inorganic inhibiting solutions in the presence of aggressives Cl** minus , Br** minus and I** minus ions. Data regarding the dependence of these currents on the type and concentration of aggressive and inhibiting agents were obtained under conditions of natural corrosion.
