Abstract

The cyclic voltammograms of a manganese electrode are traced in NaOH solutions as a function of electrolyte concentration, voltage scanning rate and electrode reactivation by cyclic polarization. Both potential and current densities of the active, passive and transpassive region are affected by the voltage scanning rate. The electrochemical reactions that take place at all regions of the voltammogram are discussed.
